Simon Pratten worked in business for twenty-five years before leaving to start his own consulting business, focused on professional services marketing. In 1994 he joined Transitions, becoming Managing Director in 1998.

He has experienced the transition of a business from partnership to plc and more recently has worked with businesses as coach and mentor, assisting them with starting, funding and growing their ventures. He has also invested seed corn amounts in selected ventures.

Simon has worked extensively through Business Links, Government Offices and other public-sector organisations on enterprise development and support programmes, bringing practical experience and knowledge to enterprise development.

Simon leads Transitions in venture creation projects for clients, working in strategic and practical ways. He also brings a large network of contacts including financial institutions, business angels and advisers.
