Digital Media Opportunities in Brazil
Brazil is one of the four star rated countries that feature in macro-economic reports - so called BRIC countries. http://www.gs.com/insight/research/reports/report6.html As with all these countries there is a lot of work to be done but there is also a lot of opportunity as was evident in the recent discussion about entrepreneurship held at Recife in Brazil. The highly energetic and globally minded group of people that run the incubator at Recife are building on their early success to spread the entrepreneurial case deeper and further into Recife. They organised a workshop to learn from UK lessons and from each other within the region. The notes, photos and discussions are available on http://bridge.cesar.org.br/ They have on their side regeneration funding from the Government and a clever tax break for large companies to invest in R+D. The Incubator - CESAR, with its charismatic leadership in the local area has grown very rapidly and provide graduates with exposure to enterprise while providing them with practical experience in IT, telecoms software, games production and other forms of digital media. The people of Recife also have the most amazing fruit juices, climate, history and sense of being. Suggest you look it up on the internet and GO!
